Our story
We are building SpeedReviewbecause repetitive review work should not own the day.
The company started from a shared frustration: accountants and operators were still spending too much time on repetitive checking, coordination, and follow-up work that software should already lighten.
Why this company exists
Daniel and Harpaul first met at the University of British Columbia, through overlapping friend groups and shared ambition. After graduation, their paths split geographically but not intellectually.
Harpaul moved into engineering at Microsoft. Daniel built his career through KPMG and CrossCountry Consulting, working across accounting, finance, and operations. From different sides of the table, they kept returning to the same problem: too much important work was still held together by manual process.
That pattern became even clearer as AI capabilities accelerated. The opportunity was not just to automate one narrow task. It was to redesign operational workflows so teams could spend less time on repetitive checking and more time on decisions.

From a friendship at UBC to building workflow software for accounting teams, the throughline has always been the same: remove unnecessary operational weight.

The Friendship
Daniel and Harpaul met at the University of British Columbia through overlapping friend groups, shared ambition, and a common interest in business and technology.
2022–2024
Diverging Paths
Harpaul joined Microsoft in Seattle. Daniel began at KPMG before moving to CrossCountry Consulting, working across finance and operations.

The conversations intensified around a simple pattern: businesses were not thinking big enough about how AI could change real operational work.
